Payroll Network Welcomes Christine Colburn as Vice President of CPA Alliance Marketing

Networking has come full circle for Christine Colburn. As Payroll Network’s new Vice President of CPA Alliance Marketing, Christine had worked with Charlie Wolf and George Whitehouse at another firm many years ago. She maintained contact with them and recently noticed that they were seeking a candidate for the position.

She will be developing relationships with accountants and CPAs throughout Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.

It’s the People

Prior to joining Payroll Network, Christine worked in accounting at The Humane Society of the United States. However, her real expertise and passion lie in sales and marketing. Christine hopes to leave her mark by creating a large network of partnerships and other opportunities within the Baltimore/Washington CPA community.

“In expanding and strengthening our network of partners, I believe it will create a win-win-win scenario,” explains Christine. “Payroll Network will increase its geographic reach. Partners will heighten exposure of their products and services to prospective customers. And our clients, as well as those of our partners, will have access to the innovative products and services that will help them improve their efficiency and streamline their accounting and HR practices.”

The office camaraderie already has left an impression on her, stating that she really enjoys working with such enthusiastic, dedicated and professional people. Her status as a CPA also underscores the depth of experience Payroll Network employees have in the accounting industry. However, she has always enjoyed the sales end of business and has gained most of work experience in this arena.

Previously, she owned and operated a computer hardware and software business. She began her career at ADP.

Family and Flying

When she is not learning the ropes at Payroll Network, Christine is busy with family, flying and several hobbies. She has two college-age sons; one of whom just recently returned from a year-long tour of duty in Iraq. Christine also maintains a private pilot’s license, and enjoys singing and playing tennis in her spare time.

In addition to her CPA standing, Christine earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland.
