As HR audits become more widely used as a tool to improve
human management, to control employment related expenses, and to mitigate
the risk of employment related liabilities HR audits are becoming broader
in their purpose and scope, more complex and quantitative in their
analyses, and more sophisticated in both the HR audit process and the HR
audit tools used. And increasingly,
like other areas of management science, HR auditing is developing a common
body of knowledge (CBoK) upon which HR auditing practices and performance
is being based. A review of this
CBoK reveals the development of the HR Audit Model with its five
critical components of the HR auditing process.
