get more protection. Effective Jan. 1, 2009, new amendments to the
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will overturn Supreme Court decisions
that had severely narrowed application of the anti-discrimination
protections. The intent of the ADA amendments is for the government and the
courts to generously define coverage to protect the widest possible disabled population.
